About Angela and Janette
Hello, we are Angela and Janette and we believe that nature has many things to teach us. We aim to inspire people to enjoy a deep relationship with the outdoors. We have therefore curated a space and range of activities which we know work to bring that deep connection and enjoyment of nature.
Janette and I have been good friends for many years, and share a deep passion for nature or creation, as we like to call it. We have created Quantock Nature Workshops in response to lockdown and the mini traumas that we believe people endured.
Angelas’ Bio
I am middle aged, married, with a huge and wonderful family, with a growing number of grandchildren to enjoy. My husband and I are surrounded by fantastic neighbours, with whom we share meals, plants, compost and life. We also belong to a local church community who are our support in faith matters.
Being outdoors in all weathers brings me great joy, maybe because I was born on a farm and moved later to the middle east when my father joined the military. Nowadays, I play outdoors with my grandchildren, garden, travel, and most recently, I have learned to ride a small motorbike.
Currently, I provide a counselling service, mainly solution-focused. I carry many years experience in helping and supporting people who carry trauma. Counselling often takes place outdoors as I am passionate about wellbeing and nature being a resource for us all. Working with Janette to create the Nature Workshops has enriched my life.
Janettes’ Bio
I am also middle-aged, a single Mum to two sons. One of my sons is a disabled adult son who lives with me, and another son who travels the world. I am a member of a local and lively church. I work pastorally in my community as I have a 30+ years experience in the world of disability.
Since I was a young girl, I loved playing outside and watched my parents tending their garden. I learnt to appreciate the botanical world. 12 years ago, I studied horticulture and it ignited my passion for plants and outdoor spaces.
At the moment, I am still caring for my son and I have a lot of creative projects on the go, including my garden which is source of joy to me. Cooking for other people is also a passion, and I am loving creating the Nature Workshops with Angela.

About Angela and Janette
Our Back to Life Vision
Our vision is to create a restorative outdoor space for people seeking to find ways to replenish and nourish their souls. We want to facilitate this because we both have deep knowledge of nature and therapy: the land, plants, and mental and emotional wellbeing. We want them to find ways to replenish their souls.
Therefore, we design each nature workshop to move us away from the shallows and distractions of day to day living by creating a space in which our spirit has freedom and liberty to grow. We provide time to refocus on what brings life to us, to find a way back to that life, sometimes by redefining what life is.
The idea behind Back to Life is about finding ways to come back to our senses. Finding a connection with the reality of the endless and unlimited possibilities that nature daily gives us.
Our Core Values
Every human being is precious and valuable. So therefore we believe that we are born to thrive and give something unique to others, by being ourselves.
Our world is created to hold endless possibilities and unlimited scope to nourish our souls for a full and healthy life
Freewill is a gift for us. We can therefore make life-giving choices or otherwise.
Work, rest and community have equal value to us as human beings. They meet our needs, and that nature is playing an important part in all three of those aspects.
